ok, after many-many recommended sets and releases, it's high time to prove my skills too! this set was on high demand, so i asked santa to deliver it to the masses :) i played an open minded journey through classic minimal/dub techno to the most upfront bass music on peak time at the marvellous annual minimal camp in hungary. open air business deep in the forest, close to the shore of europe's biggest lake. massive thanks to all the attenders, for the vibe!

yep, it`s high time to bash another gig with upfront import artists! last time`s el-b&ben ufo gig was nominated to the best events of 2010 @ drumandbass.hu (as the only gig outside budapest!), so let`s see what the future holds to 2011.

update: the dubstep awards 2010 list is official now. just check how many hessle audio related awards were taken. here is the list: best producer (1.), best new producer (6.), best dj (5.), best label (4.), best track (6.,9.), best remix (3.), best mix (6.), best radio show (6.), best 120-140 producer (1.), best 120-140 dj (4., 5.) and there is not too many categories left :)

didn`t panic in budapest - 4th bday bash w/ deadbeat

the guys at don`t panic! budapest organized an 4th years anniversary exhibition of the past 4 years material including all 200 hungarian sleeve designs, loads of panic posters and of course the best flyers of the past 4 years. i was very happy to see that 9 of my flyers were chosen. wicked, specially because i only made 10 or 11 to budapest in this period :)

of course there was a blastin gig as well! deadbeat made it yet again and the hungarian talent ferenc vaspoeri did a good set too (hmm, i suggested him to level records where his first vinyl release came out) . i was spinning deep dubby and techy dubstep stuff in the vip bar.

just finished the new poster, this time for my new residency in pecs`s best running club, pecsi est cafe. they asked me to broaden their music range with a monthly upfront electronic event, besides them i was asked to run a residency in budapest`s best venue, the a38 boat too...

finally i`m going to outlook festival tho i shoud have missed it due to several reasons. if you`re coming, see you there! until then, here is the just announced full line up. far the biggest and best i`ve ever seen.

mala+sgt pokes @ sziget festival 2009

i`ve just come back from sziget festival where almost 400.000 people have attended in a few days last year. this year i played three times at sziget including two at my beloved meduza stage ( which is the best imo) with a capacity for 2000+. i`m sure much more people have heard the sets. on the first day we had mala and pokes. here is a facebook vid of my set and you can find loads of mala`s.

the next day i played with several djs from pecs representing the city as the cultural capital of europe 2010. i had chance to organise it with filling up the 8 hrs long line up and taking care of everyone. honestly last year it was better to organise wedge/komonazmuk/jakes and skream/benga/crazy d were also wicked in 2007. seems like the festival season is finished for me and i`ll come back with loads of updates after finishing a few works.

festivals, festivals, festivals...

i`m hard to find behind the keys lately as i`m doing my dj duties on festivals all across hungary every week. as soon as it`s getting chilled again i`m publishing the ever growing bunch of drafts :) when i`m near to computer i`m fonding some new designs for labels and clubnights as well... summer time man! :) expect new pieces for record labels like runtime (elemental/dubstep), coded music (phobia/dnb), particle sound (wilblaze/dubstep), boombap (vista/dubstep), boka (jon/dubstep) and a few more... it`s summer time but i`ll be black. until then here are a few festivals in july/early august with myself pon the decks: balaton sound, efott festival, campus festival, era new horizons poland, minimal camp, sziget (with mala+sgt pokes and 2 further gigs) catch ya there!

i`ve been working hard on sci-fi festival happens next week at the legendary tv-tower with dozens of movies, wicked exhibitions and lectures and not least line up of live acts from 6 countries in 3 days. solvent [ghostly, can], boxcutter [planet mu, ie], vector lovers [soma, d], gravious [hotflush,uk], glomag [astralwerks, usa], an on bast [pl].. electro, 8bit chiprock, experimental ambient, downtempo, dubstep, electronica, you name it... join on facebook and last.fm to the show! also check the main site and the teaser video. this is why the blog updates faded out of the universe :) i`ll publish all drafts..

back on the promoting tip. after the spring firewall records night where classic uk hardcore and hardcore breaks ruined the walls of szenes klub i hope this will be another well talked show. the guys will soon arrive to pecs and i`m sure we`ll have a wicked show with the soulful djs and the brilliant vocalist! more info on the main site. two news. one bad. one good. starting with the bad: we couldn`t manage to drop a dream show in pecs with the godfather himself. the good news is mortiz von oswald and tikiman will come to budapest alongside tikiman to play a live show! i`ve been hypnotized by his tunes from the begining and his sound was the reason i started dj`ing seriously. not to mention i`ve been supporting the whole berlin dub / minimal movement in articles, sets and organized events for more than 10 years. can`t deny this is what i love the most besides all other styles and genres. so i`m very happy to hear him playing live on the very first eastern-europe act. i`ve been hiding this info for months and at last its official! it was a hard task to keep the secret but i succeeded! :D meanwhile i was asked to play a 3 hours warm up set with isu before their live show. i think i just got a few dozen haters :/ anyway, i was 100% happy from the very begining with being just a part of the audience but of course i didn`t refuse isu`s honourable invitation behind the decks.
