the pecs planetarium is dead

welcome to pecs, the european capital of culture 2010. altough seems like every planned architectural projects go to a "buildings we should have built" exhibition and haven`t even started tendering the building contractors to the last existing project. yeh, 11 months. they haven`t started to build but ruined a few bauhaus houses. fantastic. pecs architecture was mostly known by marcel breuer who was teaching at the bauhaus in weimar and dessau with le corbusier, mies van der rohe and walter gropius. pecs has some bauhaus heritage and the council brought them down to ground zero. in 2008 they finished off a forbat alfred villa and then the pecs planetarium. the european capital of culture. shame. not to mention the programs to 2010 which are ridiculous.
