getdarker.TV 145 - djg, shiverz, jacko, swiss

djg brought the bass generator from the shiny bay area yet again, you can hear why his numbers are regular in my sets. he combines deep, percussive and techy elements in a very unique way (audio). the rest of the show was like jacko brought some wobbling jump up energy with killer fader technique (audio), then the returning swiss took some bottom-end shaking deepness (audio) and the ever returning "the butcha" shiverz (audio) executed the rest of the show. tracklists are on the youtube page in the describtion.

getdarkerTV.135 - black box takeover

black box is one of the most influental label to date. i`ve always thought, thinking from bristol is one of the bristol originators and top djs in the scene without question. his set from 2004 is still making waves and the radio shows they dropped with kidkut/immerse records on passion.fm (here is one), dubstep.fm and sub.fm are just brilliant. wise cross-genre excursions with well balanced rare dubplates and classics with the latest tunes and exclusives. at last he proves his outstanding skills and taste as a dj yet again! beside the black box head honcho you can hear hungary`s very own dj madd who resided to bristol after a short break in london and seven from n-type`s wheel&deal fame. both artists are representing their albums coming out on black box. i`m sure the label will be the best of 2012, specially with those two hot albums. so, this session is very important in the history of getdarker, don`t miss it.

the mighty hatcha and crazy d came to takeover the getdarker studio with a special mixture of deep and classic beats (starting at 2h30m) and before them dj 2e and pistonsbeneath make the show even darker. you can grab the dj 2e and pistonsbeneath sets by clicking with the righty clickery but you have to fast forward the video for hatcha's firing set. well worth hearing it.

you had chance to see both true tiger and numa crew sessions earlier, but now they both came to take over the controls. the returning dj foster started to warm up the room (audio here), then lapo and leo p represented the italian numa crew (audio here). after their dancefloor heavy set, true tiger times came. sukh knight and haze kicked off (actually haze is the debuting alias of funtcase who i'm sure you already know!) the busiest getdarker show with the infamous ghost camp posse behind the decks! el b and j da rolled some old school garage bits right before melting the studio with the showcasing the forthcoming ghost stuff. beside them score five just dropped a very heavy grime set on 3 turntables. this was the first 3decks set in the getdarker history, be sure to check it!

yet another fine pick on getdarker TV`s next episode. kicking off with croydon based shiverz followed by the rinse fm vets the commitee but the next sets gave me the extra. old school badboy scientist drops a massive set of unreleased and VIP dubplates haven`t surfaced since 2003! i still remember a scientists b2b el sid st from 2004... this old school breakstep set catapults you back to the begining of a new era when bass and deepness were the keywords besides drumworks. and for last reso is back with a hi octane filthy bass affair as usual. reso`s set with rougestar/urban graffiti on the mic is tight and leave you alone filled with energy. well, you can see scientist and reso`s sets in the player. and here is the whole video set in one.

the next episode of getdarkerTV`s weekly brought two hyped names beside the resident darkside in front of the camera. mc jakes doesn`t need any introduction as he started with ez rollers around the milenium and since then he have been mcing a lot for serious names. a few years ago he also started producing tunes and got into dubstep with the bristol based hench posse. he started his label hench to bring new talents to the scene. his bass heavy slo mofo arcade game style is unique to dubstep. here is the audio for his set but i`d highly recommend the other guy too. lost have been making waves with his tunes rinsed by hatcha and now is a part of the hench krew. heavy dose of bass. let me post his session to the player or just download it. and yeh, check the whole video session in one on getdarker!
